No matter how much the South African people embrace and enjoy the World Cup it’s a little hard to escape the thought that they have been sold a number of gigantic lemons.
The new stadiums are extremely impressive but post World Cup who is going to play anything at Polokwane or Rustenburg on a regular basis that requires such facilities.
In a country with such low literacy rates and high crime levels the World Cup stadium construction will be judged by history to be a poor social investment.
